With private health insurance you are likely to be entitled to a rebate on any services provided by a dietitian. You can check with your private health fund regarding your rebate entitlements by either calling them directly or obtaining a quote via your online membership account.
Medicare rebates are available for individuals managed on a Chronic Disease Management Program (CDMP) or Enhanced Primary Care Plan (EPC) under the supervision of their GP. The typical rebate under such a plan is $52.95. If you are managed on one of the above programs please bring along all associated paperwork provided to you by your GP or specialist.
